Help for churches that want to live again
A great many churches are smaller and older than they once were. Some have been declining for years and quietly wonder whether they have a future. Their pastors are often bivocational, tired, or both, and they need help that fits the church they actually serve.
Church Renewal will publish books for those pastors and for the people who serve beside them. The books will be biblical and practical: rooted in Scripture, honest about how hard the work can be, and specific about what a congregation can do next.
They’ll also take seriously what no strategy can produce. Prayer, spiritual warfare and the power of the Holy Spirit are real, and renewal finally depends on God. Our authors will write about them the way most evangelicals outside the Pentecostal and charismatic movements understand them, with confidence in God’s power and with Scripture as the guide.

Why this imprint
Written by people who have done the work
Bart L. Denny, who founded True Bearing Press, led a declining congregation through revitalization and wrote his doctoral dissertation on how pastors of revitalized small churches develop other leaders. He is a Certified Church Revitalization Specialist through Church Answers University. His book Reassigned draws on that research.
Church Renewal gives books in this field a home of their own, so pastors looking for help with a struggling church can find them easily.
