Terms of Use
Terms of Use
The ground rules for using this website, in plain English.
This website belongs to True Bearing Press LLC, a small Christian publisher in Saranac, Michigan. Puzzle Arbor and Church Renewal are its imprints. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and what we do with it.
What belongs to us
The writing, puzzles, illustrations, book covers, photographs and design on this site belong to True Bearing Press or to the people who licensed them to us, and they’re protected by copyright. The names True Bearing Press, Puzzle Arbor and Church Renewal, and their logos, are ours too. You’re welcome to quote a sentence or two from a page with a link back to it, and to share links to anything here.
Scripture in our puzzles and pages comes from the King James Version, which is in the public domain in the United States. Our arrangement of it into puzzles is still ours.
Free printables
Our free Bible puzzles, trivia, coloring pages, Puzzle of the Week, Advent Puzzle Calendar, sampler and study guides are free to print. You may make as many copies as you need for your home, a class, a small group, a Sunday school, a church bulletin or a church event, as long as you hand them out free.
Please don’t sell them, include them in anything you sell, post the files on another website, or remove our name from them. If you’d like to use something in a way these terms don’t cover, ask us. We’ll usually say yes.
The Bible Puzzle Maker
Puzzles you make with the Bible Puzzle Maker are yours to print and copy for the same free uses as our printables. You’re responsible for the words you type in. The daily limits on puzzles are part of how the tool stays free, so please don’t try to get around them.
Tools for churches and veterans
The Church Health Check, Ready for Renewal, Next Assignment and our free planning tools are conversation starters. They aren’t scientific tests, and no score is a verdict on a church, a pastor or anyone’s calling. They don’t replace the counsel of your pastor, your church’s leaders or a qualified professional, including legal, medical or safety advice for an emergency plan.
Some tools give you a private link. Anyone with that link can see, and in some tools change, what you entered, so keep it to the people you mean to share it with.
Buying books
We don’t sell books on this site. Our “Buy” buttons take you to Lulu or Amazon, and your order, payment, shipping, returns and any problems with it are between you and the store you buy from, under its own terms. Prices and availability shown here may change, and the store’s page is the one that counts.
What you send us
When you send a review, a comment, a post in our Author Community, a book proposal or a message, you’re telling us it’s your own work and that it doesn’t break anyone else’s rights.
- Reviews. You give us permission to show your review on this site and to quote it, with the name you gave, in our posts and book descriptions. We don’t change your words. We may leave out reviews that aren’t about the book.
- Book proposals. Sending a proposal doesn’t create any agreement between us, and you keep every right to your book. We use what you send only to consider it. We read many proposals and some will cover ideas like yours, so we can’t promise that a book we publish will never resemble something we’ve been sent.
- Comments and messages. You keep the rights to what you write. You let us use it to answer you and to run the site.
The Author Community
The Author Community is private, and joining is by application or invitation. Please be kind, keep to writing and publishing, and don’t share other members’ posts or manuscripts outside the community without asking them. The community’s hosts may hide posts and may remove members who don’t keep these rules. You can leave whenever you like.
Using the site fairly
Please don’t use the site to send spam or to email people who haven’t asked to hear from us, try to get into parts of the site that aren’t meant for you, interfere with how the site runs, copy large parts of it with automated tools, or post anything unlawful, hateful or abusive. We may block anyone who does.
Links to other sites
We link to other websites, including Lulu, Amazon, Firstfruits Readers and social media. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for them. Their own terms and privacy policies apply.
No guarantees
We work to keep the site accurate and running, but we provide it “as is.” We don’t promise it will always be available, error-free or suited to a particular purpose. As far as the law allows, True Bearing Press isn’t liable for any loss that comes from using the site, its free materials or its tools, or from not being able to use them.
Young people
Many of our books are for families and teenagers, but this website and its newsletter are meant for adults. If you’re under 18, please use the site with a parent’s or guardian’s permission.
Changes and Michigan law
We may update these terms as the site changes, and we’ll change the date below when we do. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.
